     Emily F. Keas and William H. Wilkerson had nine children.¹ Emily F. Keas was born in 1842 at Kentucky.^2,3 She married William H. Wilkerson on 19 October 1865 at Clark County, Kentucky, According to notes from Loretta Keas Camp (Source 1-b, page 6), a sister of Isaac Franklin Keas, married a James William Emerson. This sister is buried in "Telephone"?, Texas. The only two known sisters of Isaac are Catharine, and Emily.^1,4,3 Emily F. Keas was enumerated with William H. Wilkerson on 1 June 1870 on the Census at Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.⁵ Emily F. Keas died on 10 December 1912.^4,3

     William H. Wilkerson and Emily F. Keas had nine children.⁴ William H. Wilkerson was born on 13 December 1836 at Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.^5,4,6,7 He married Emily F. Keas, daughter of James S.      (baby) Orear died on 12 January 1878 at Clark County, Kentucky.¹ She was stillborn on 12 January 1878 at Clark County, Kentucky; There was no discussion within the family to the writer's memory that Josiah Anderson and Betty (Smitha) Orear had more than three children. However, the writer's grandfather, Lee Orear was raised around the Pine Grove area (Colby Road of Clark County, Kentucky and Todd's Road of Fayette County, Kentucky). An entry in Kentucky DAR, Kentucky Cemetery Records, Vol. I, Page 124 shows a cemetery in the Old McMillan Burying Ground on the Joe Brown (1960) Farm on McClure Pike in Clark County, Kentucky, this being in the vicinity of Pine Grove. This grave is marked as "Daughter of J. A. & B. Orear, stillborn, Jan. 1878". Due to the grave location, the date and the parent's names, it is the writer's opinion that this stillborn baby was a twin sister to the writer's grand aunt, Jennie Orear.¹ There was no discussion within the family to the writer's memory that Josiah Anderson and Betty (Smitha) Orear had more than three children.      David C. George was born on 4 April 1850 at Montgomery County, Kentucky. He was enumerated with Joel S. George on 1 June 1850 on the Census at Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.² David C. George was enumerated with Joel S. George on 1 June 1860 on the Census at Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.³ David C. George was enumerated with Joel S. George on 1 June 1870 on the Census at Camargo, Kentucky.⁴ David C. George married Elizabeth Disshon on 12 January 1880 at Montgomery County, Kentucky.¹

     Sarah Jane George was also known as Sallie.¹ She was born on 30 August 1853 at Montgomery County, Kentucky.^2,3 She was enumerated with Joel S. George on 1 June 1860 on the Census at Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.⁴ Sarah Jane George was enumerated with Joel S. George on 1 June 1870 on the Census at Camargo, Kentucky.⁵ Sarah Jane George was enumerated with Joel S. George in 1880 on the Census at Camargo, Kentucky.⁶ Sarah Jane George married Humphrey Kavanaugh Oldham on 6 November 1884 at Montgomery County, Kentucky, by H. R. Fricketts.^2,3 Sarah Jane George was a witness to the fact that Nancy O'Rear was living in 1889 at Camargo, Kentucky.⁷ Sarah Jane George died on 26 March 1906 at age 52.

     Sarah Jane George was born on 30 March 1853 at Orearville, Missouri. She was enumerated with Dr. James Jameson George in 1860 on the Census at Arrow Rock, Missouri.¹ Sarah Jane George was enumerated with Dr. James Jameson George in 1870 on the Census at Mount Pleasant Township, Cass County, Missouri.² Sarah Jane George married James Granville Morrow on 26 November 1874 at Cass County, Missouri. Sarah Jane George died on 11 April 1924 at Atchison, Kansas, at age 71.^3,4

     James Granville Morrow was born on 27 June 1827 at Wayne County, Kentucky. He married Sarah Jane George, daughter of Dr. James Jameson George and Mary Catlett O'Rear, on 26 November 1874 at Cass County, Missouri. James Granville Morrow died on 2 December 1915 at Atchison, Kansas, at age 88.

     James Granville Morrow was born on 8 August 1878 at Buchanan County, Missouri. He married Nora Ethel Worrel on 23 December 1903 at St Joseph, Missouri. James Granville Morrow died on 19 April 1937 at Buchanan County, Missouri, at age 58.

     Ida Lovely was born circa 1834. She married Joel W. Oldham, son of Humphrey Kavanaugh Oldham and Sarah Jane George, on 18 October 1911 at Montgomery County, Kentucky.¹ Ida Lovely was enumerated with Joel W. Oldham on 1 April 1930 on the Census at Camargo, Kentucky.²

     Elizabeth Disshon was also known as Lizzie Dishong. She married David C. George, son of Joel S. George and Nancy O'Rear, on 12 January 1880 at Montgomery County, Kentucky.¹

     Nora Ethel Worrel was born on 16 September 1884 at Buchanan County, Missouri. She married James Granville Morrow, son of James Granville Morrow and Sarah Jane George, on 23 December 1903 at St Joseph, Missouri. Nora Ethel Worrel died on 29 July 1941 at Buchanan County, Missouri, at age 56.

     Ethel Frances Morrow was born on 17 December 1907 at Winthrop, Missouri. She married Boris Nicholas Bulatkin on 17 December 1936 at Omaha, Nebraska. Ethel Frances Morrow died on 1 October 1990 at Wichita, Kansas, at age 82.

     Boris Nicholas Bulatkin was born on 4 August 1896 at Yeysk, Russia. He married Ethel Frances Morrow, daughter of James Granville Morrow and Nora Ethel Worrel, on 17 December 1936 at Omaha, Nebraska. Boris Nicholas Bulatkin died on 2 September 1965 at age 69.

     Ellen Douglas Moss was born in January 1868 at Owingsville, Kentucky.¹ She married Robert Jackson George, son of Dr. James Jameson George and Mary Catlett O'Rear, on 14 February 1888 at Key West Township, Kansas.

     Joel S. George was born on 15 July 1846 at Montgomery County, Kentucky. He was enumerated with Robert Catlett O'Rear in 1850 on the Census at Montgomery County, Kentucky.¹ Joel S. George was enumerated with Dr. James Jameson George in 1860 on the Census at Arrow Rock, Missouri.² Joel S. George was enumerated with Dr. James Jameson George in 1870 on the Census at Mount Pleasant Township, Cass County, Missouri.³ Joel S. George married Belle W. Singleton.⁴ Joel S. George died before 1880.⁴

     Mary Elizabeth George was born in March 1848 at Kentucky.¹ She was enumerated with Robert Catlett O'Rear in 1850 on the Census at Montgomery County, Kentucky.² Mary Elizabeth George was enumerated with Dr. James Jameson George in 1860 on the Census at Arrow Rock, Missouri.³ Mary Elizabeth George married James Hugh Russell in 1866 at Johnson County, Missouri.¹ Mary Elizabeth George died on 28 June 1911 at Chilhowee, Missouri, at age 63.¹ She was buried after 28 June 1911 at Chilhowee, Missouri.

     Malinda Ellen George was born on 15 October 1849 at Elizabethtown, Kentucky.¹ She was enumerated with Robert Catlett O'Rear in 1850 on the Census at Montgomery County, Kentucky.² Malinda Ellen George was enumerated with Dr. James Jameson George in 1860 on the Census at Arrow Rock, Missouri.³ Malinda Ellen George married Jasper N. Morrison in 1868 at Saline County, Missouri.¹ Malinda Ellen George died on 1 January 1936 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at age 86.¹ She was buried after 1 January 1936 at Lebo, Kansas.

     Jasper N. Morrison was born in 1841 at Kentucky.¹ He married Malinda Ellen George, daughter of Dr. James Jameson George and Mary Catlett O'Rear, in 1868 at Saline County, Missouri.¹ Jasper N. Morrison died before 1932.¹

     James Hugh Russell was born on 11 March 1843 at Chilhowee, Missouri.¹ He married Mary Elizabeth George, daughter of Dr. James Jameson George and Mary Catlett O'Rear, in 1866 at Johnson County, Missouri.¹ James Hugh Russell died on 7 May 1935 at Johnson County, Missouri, at age 92.¹

     Belle W. Singleton was born in January 1856 at Kentucky.¹ She married Joel S. George, son of Dr. James Jameson George and Mary Catlett O'Rear.¹ Belle W. Singleton died before 1950.¹

     Gillie Jasper was born on 13 December 1863 at Doniphan County, Kansas.¹ She married Benjamin Franklin George, son of Dr. James Jameson George and Mary Catlett O'Rear, on 9 August 1888 at Burlington, Kansas.¹ Gillie Jasper died on 1 June 1938 at Lebo, Kansas, at age 74.¹

     James Nelson George was born on 27 September 1855 at Saline County, Missouri.² He was enumerated with Dr. James Jameson George in 1860 on the Census at Arrow Rock, Missouri.³ James Nelson George was enumerated with Dr. James Jameson George in 1870 on the Census at Mount Pleasant Township, Cass County, Missouri.⁴ James Nelson George died on 26 October 1876 at Buchanan County, Missouri, at age 21.^2,1 He was buried after 26 October 1876 at Orearville Cemetery, Orearville, Missouri.²

     John O'Rea was born circa 1650 at Ireland.² He immigrated before 1675 to Virginia (
     Origin note: The O'Rea/O'Rear family may have last come from France, but evidence indicates they may have come from Ireland. There were five persons named O'Rea on the 1651 Irish Census near the present-day town of Cappamore in County Limerick That they lived among the Huguenots in America and inter-married with some of them is probably the best support for thinking that the O'Rea/O'Rear family members were French Huguenots. The name in Ireland was probably O'Rea, O'Ray, O'Rior, or O'Rier.

It may be that the O'Riors had been followers of King Charles I and were forced to flee when Cromwell became Lord Protector. Some may have gone to France where they lived for a time. This travel to France may have been via some other country as Cromwell would not have allowed his enemies to go to another enemy (France). So they may have gone to Spain and then made their way to France later. Then following the revocation of the Edict of Nantes, the family left France.

One story holds that an O'Rior was a Baron in the court of King Charles I. So when the O'Riors escaped to America, a daughter of King Charles went with them and they settled in New Jersey. The story holds that her brother, King Charles II came to visit them later in America, but never found them. Supposedly, she married one of the O'Rior sons. Nothing has ever been found to support any part of the story. Conjecture is that some O'Rear may have been charged with the safety of Charles I's daughter and that she was taken to the Isle of Jersey. It is known that Charles II did visit the Isle of Jersey, but whether he went to visit a sister is not known. But, again there is nothing to support this conjecture either.

It is also know that from the reign of James II through the period of the English Protectorate (Cromwell), the peoples of Ireland presented problems to the English government. The biggest problem was what to do with prisoners taken during military campaigns. Following the battle of Kinsale in 1601, the English had some 30,000 prisoners. They resolved the problem by having a policy of banishment by which prisoners were sent to other countries including selling them as slaves. Very little record was kept of this, the English just did not keep track of their Irish problems. The few extant records show sales of Irish slaves in 1612 in South America, 1625 in the West Indies, 1629 in Guinea, 1637 in Montserrat and Antigua. One Daniel O'Ree is recorded as dying 16 September 1679 in the poorhouse in Barbadoes. Between 1651 and 1660, it is estimated that more Irish slaves were sold to American colonists and plantation owners than the "free" population at the time. Still others made their way to Spain and eventually to France as noted above. While most of these persons were actually slaces as opposed to being indentured servants, there were limits as to the length of their servitude similar to indentured servants.

The late Edward C. O'Rear II, a well-known O'Rear researcher held for years that John O'Rea came to Virginia in 1688 (his early suggestion was 1685-1700), settling in Stafford County, or Westmoreland County. This John O'Rea appears in Stafford County records in 1701 and 1702. However, recent unverified information indicates his son, John O'Rear was baptised in Dettingen Parish in 1675. Dettingen Parish was not formed until 1730, so further research is warranted. E. C. O'Rear II in an earlier paper indicated that one or both of John O'Rea's sons were born "at sea". If the son, John was born in the area of Dettingen Parish in 1675 and Daniel was born "at sea", then this might be an indication of when our ancestor first came to America. One must also keep in mind that the term "born at sea" was often used to indicate birth out of wedlock.

Thus, we have a wide range of possibilities regarding the origin in this country of the first O'Rear. So we are left with only that 1675 seems to be the first written record of an O'Rear here. What it means is open to question although it may be assumed that the father of the 1675 John O'Rear probably came to Virginia between about 1660 and 1675.

     John O'Rear was born in 1730 at Prince William County, Virginia.^4,5,2,6,7,8 He resided in 1736 at Prince William County, Virginia.⁹ He married Sarah (?) circa 1758.¹⁰ John O'Rear was shown on the tax list in 1759 at Fauquier County, Virginia, by Thomas Marshall.¹¹ He was a farmer in 1759.^1,12 He resided in September 1779 at Wilkes County, North Carolina.^13,7 County court records at Wilkes County, North Carolina, circa 1779 contain a restraining order issued against John O'Rear and his son, Daniel O'Rear for threatening bodily harm against a neighboring planter. The family moved to Georgia soon afterward.¹⁰ John O'Rear appeared on the census of 1787 at Wilkes County, North Carolina.¹⁴ He resided in 1790 at Wilkes County, Georgia.¹⁵ John O'Rear sold land at Hancock County, Georgia, to Jesse Brantley on 24 July 1799; 100 acres on the waters of Shoulderbone.¹⁶ John O'Rear resided circa 1802 at Clarke County, Georgia.¹³ He and Moses Lloyd sold land (100 acres) to his son-in-law on 7 September 1809 at Clarke County, Georgia.¹³ John O'Rear died in 1810 at Hancock County, Georgia.^4,17,2,18

     John Marcus Blackerby was born on 6 June 1785.³ He witnessed the moved of Jedethum Blackerby circa 1795 at Mason County, Kentucky.⁴ John Marcus Blackerby witnessed the moved of Jedethum Blackerby circa 1818 at Bracken County, Kentucky.⁴ John Marcus Blackerby died on 15 March 1833 at age 47.⁵ He was buried after 15 March 1833 at Blackerby Family Graveyard, Berlin, Kentucky.⁵
