     Lucinda Ethyl Redmond was born circa 1826 at Clark County, Kentucky.1,2 She A talented artist and pianist, Lucinda painted a portrait of herself when she was less than twenty years old, before she married Major Nelson Catlett Orear. The portrait was acquired in 1951 by the City Art Museum of St. Louis, MO. She was only twenty-eight years old when she died. circa 1843.3 She married Nelson Catlett O'Rear, son of Robert Catlett O'Rear and Malinda O'Rear, on 6 June 1846 at St. Charles County, Missouri.4,5 Lucinda Ethyl Redmond died in 1852 at St. Charles, Missouri.6
